Order Synchronization
This guide explains how orders flow from your Shopify store to Wing and how to verify the synchronization.
How Order Synchronization Works
Automatic Sync Schedule
- Frequency: Orders are automatically synchronized every hour
- Manual Sync: You can trigger synchronization manually at any time
- Initial Sync: First synchronization imports all orders with selected statuses (no date limit)
- Subsequent Syncs: Only recent orders are fetched
Synced Order Statuses
The app synchronizes orders with the following statuses:
- Unfulfilled (Open)
- Paid
- Unshipped
Only orders matching these statuses will be synced to Wing.
Verifying Synchronization
Check Synced Orders
- Go to your Wing account dashboard at https://my.wing.eu
- Navigate to Orders page
- New Shopify orders should appear within 1 hour
- Verify the carrier assignment matches your mapping
Manual Synchronization
To immediately sync recent orders:
- In the Wing integration panel, click the refresh icon (circular arrow) in the top left
- The sync will process orders in the background
- Check the Orders page for updated order list
First Synchronization
⚠️ Important: On first sync, the connector imports ALL orders with selected statuses without date limits. This could be a large volume of historical orders. Subsequent syncs will only fetch recent orders.
Troubleshooting Sync Issues
Order Shows "No Service for Carrier" Error
This means the Shopify shipping method couldn't be matched to a Wing carrier.
Solution:
- Check the shipping method mapping in Settings & Mapping
- Verify the shipping method is correctly mapped to a Wing carrier
- Manually retry the failed order from the Errors view

Orders Not Appearing in Wing
Checklist:
- App is installed and connected
- Your Wing account is active
- Orders have status: Unfulfilled, Paid, or Unshipped
- Shipping method mapping is configured (see Settings & Mapping)
- Try manual sync by clicking the refresh icon
- Check the Orders page in Wing - orders should appear within 1 hour
Missing Relay Points
⚠️ For relay point orders: customers select relay points after payment during checkout. If a relay point isn't selected, Wing automatically finds the nearest relay point to the shipping address.
Important Notes
Order Status Requirements
Only orders matching the configured statuses will sync. If you have historical orders you need to process, ensure they match the selected statuses.
Testing
If you're starting a new business and don't have orders yet:
- Create test orders in Shopify
- Assign appropriate shipping methods (configured in Settings)
- Verify they appear in Wing with correct carrier mapping
- Test the order processing workflow
