Installing the Wing Shopify App

This guide walks you through installing and connecting the Wing Shopify app to your store.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access to your Shopify store
  • An active Wing account with valid credentials
  • At least one shipping location configured in Shopify

Step 1: Install the App from Shopify App Store

From the Shopify Admin

  1. Open your Shopify admin dashboard
  2. Go to Apps and sales channels > App and sales channels
  3. Click Add app or sales channel
  4. Search for "Wing" in the Shopify App Store
  5. Click on the Wing app
  6. Review the requested permissions
  7. Click Install app to confirm

Step 2: Connect Your Wing Account

Once the app is installed, you'll be redirected to the Wing configuration page.

  1. In the Wing app, locate the configuration section
  2. Enter your Wing account email and password
  3. Click Synchronize
  4. Wait for the connection to complete

Connection Success

You should see a success confirmation message confirming that your Wing account is connected to your Shopify store.

Step 3: Configure Your Admin Access

Ensure you have the necessary admin permissions to:

  • Access app integrations in Shopify
  • Manage shipping settings
  • Configure checkout extensions (for relay point features)

Once the app is installed and your Wing account is connected:

  1. Configure carrier mapping - Set up how your Shopify shipping methods correspond to Wing carriers
  2. Configure order synchronization - Verify order synchronization is working correctly
  3. Enable relay point selection (optional) - Allow customers to pick up orders from relay points

Troubleshooting

Connection Failed

  • Verify your Wing account email and password are correct
  • Ensure your Wing account is active
  • Check that you have admin permissions in both Shopify and Wing
